My little girl isn’t feeling well at all. She’s been picking at her milk all day, and she’s screams when the bottle goes in her mouth. Her cheeks are so red (as you can see in the photo) and she’s been asleep for about 3 hours now. :(
Last night Keira went to bed at 8:30pm, her normal bed time. I gave her a dream feed around 10:30pm, which is earlier than usual but I thought I could see if it makes a difference.
She was awake at 2am wanting a bottle and then again at 5am wanting a bottle.
Why did the dream feed not work? It normally keeps her going until 4/5am.
It kills me to wake up at 2am and then again at 5am. I feel like every step forward we take, we then go 2 steps behind. :(
Why do people not understand this? My boyfriend’s parents keep trying to get us to use the CO method. Even saying it’s better for OUR daughter. Not their daughter. It annoys the hell out of me. No matter how many times I tell them, they still try to push it.
twiggyyay It’s scary really! That there’s big brand shops that sell things specifically for babies, that would sell cot bumpers knowing the statistics. I know they’re a lovely decoration but they should state that they are not to go by baby’s head due to risk of suffocation. I’d much rather wake up to Keira having a broken leg or arm from getting them stuck in between the bars, than waking up to her not breathing.
Thinking about it, a moses basket is equally as dangerous. Keira was forever pressing her face into the sides. I had to stay awake to keep moving her away!
Keira keeps shouting and then sucking my arms then shouting again. Haha it’s so funny.
I have a poorly baby this morning.
She seems to have a bit of a cough, she won’t take her bottle at all, all she wants it to suck her dummy and her cheeks are rosy red.
Teething is horrible!
